Goodbye, Soo Ho
<Snowdrop> Final Filming Behind the Scenes

Banner: I was happy to have [worked] with you | You’ve all worked extremely hard -Jung Hae In

Today is the final day of filming for <Snowdrop>

Director)
Ready, action

Jung Hae In: The final day of filming has finally arrived. | Even up until I went to sleep last night it didn’t feel real, but | in the morning, when I sat for hair and makeup and arrived on set, somehow | there was this pressure in my chest. | And my feelings were a bit conflicted. | I had thought that I’d be incredibly happy and relieved, but | (right now) I don’t really know what it is I’m feeling.| Actually, it feels a bit close to sadness. | It seems as though loss and disappointment, these sorts of feelings are winning out.

n.b. The words I have here as ‘loss’ (아쉬움) and ‘disappointment’ (섭섭함) are both rather difficult to translate. The first is a sense of lack/loss, thinking something’s a shame, or even sometimes a sense of regret over ‘what might have been/what nearly was.’ The second is a sort of lonely disappointment over missing someone/something, missing out, or sometimes being left out. So he’s essentially saying he feels it’s a shame the drama’s over and will miss the character and production.

Soo Ho's final filming has concluded

Jung Hae In: To all of our viewers who loved <Snowdrop> | and took interest in it and watched it | I’d like to express my thanks for waiting a long time for it | and watching until the very end. | [I’d like to think that] Soo Ho and Young Ro | are living happily inside of all of your hearts | I’d like it if you’d remember them that way.

The surprise event he discovered too early

Staff: Dang it hehe

(what is this?)

(They had originally been trying to prepare things inside ahead of time but have failed ㅠㅠ)

Staff: Oh gosh.

Staff: Fail.

Taking one more peek hehe

Jung Hae In: Ah... gosh... | You don’t know me very well hehe

(keep me from going to the greenroomㅠ)

Jung Hae In: Ah, you should’ve stopped me.

The surprise party they regrettably failed to throw

Jung Hae In: Oh, thank you. | You even prepared flowers for me... | I’m seriously getting all sorts of surprises today.

Photographer: One...two...three.

Taking photos with the staff members who have toiled alongside him

Pink ribbon 1: For a while, military haircuts are banned X

Pink ribbon 2: Congrats Jung Hae Im* You worked hard

*n.b. The ‘Hae’ is obscured, and the bottom part of the ribbon is out-of-frame, but it actually does say ‘Im’ and not ‘In’ so this might be a play on the actor’s name + the character’s name – i.e. ‘Jung Haen Im Soo Ho’ or some such.

Jung Hae In: I’ll do my utmost and try to | pour everything into this so | I hope that the viewers, as well, will | give our drama <Snowdrop> a lot a lot of love too. | Thank you, truly, for having watched <Snowdrop>.
