Tale of the Nine Tailed – Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah)

A woman with nerves of steel.* The PD (production director) of the much talked about TV program, ‘In Search of Urban Legends.’ We’re warning you in advance: don’t be fooled.

Her innocent face, like that of the heroine of a romance drama, is a mask. While tossing out lines like, ‘Get real. These days, the noble and pure act doesn’t fly,’ she’ll do things like rush alone into the heart of a religious cult; she’s a fish in water on a haunted house film shoot; regardless of the genre, intimidating shady people is her specialty. A born adventurer.

There’s just one case even she can’t solve: her family. An uncanny car accident that occurred on Fox Ridge when she was young. There, Ji Ah’s parents disappeared as if into thin air. Ji Ah, the sole survivor, insisted that the culprit wasn’t human, but not a single person believed her.

21 years spent chasing down ghost stories solo in order to find her parents. At long last she meets him! The nine-tailed fox in human form, Lee Yeon! While spending time with gumiho Lee Yeon, Ji Ah comes face-to-face with the secrets of the hidden world. Lee Yeon starts to become a part of Ji Ah’s once-solitary life.

Through Lee Yeon, Ji Ah gradually begins to experience everyday happiness for the first time since her parents’ disappearance. But just as she begins to do so, another crisis appears in front of her...!!

*Literally: ‘A woman whose liver (kan) is [so large it’s] come out of her body.’ In Korean, to have a large liver means to be brave or gutsy.
