While this scene does appear in the drama, only one line by Soo-ho made the final cut. The director and actors all spoke about what a collaborative process bringing a scene to life is, and I think this is a good example of that. They get the script and then, in the process of blocking it out and rehearsing it, they toss out suggestions and try different things until they get the most natural and true-to-character version of a scene — which sometimes means departing from what’s on the page. While that means that some things (like hugs) end up getting left out, other things get added in or conveyed in other ways. Here’s what was on the page:
