“Where did you go? I searched everywhere for you.”
Even as thousands, tens of thousands of suns and moons rose and fell, you did not come.
As without you, there was no spring, nor summer, nor fall, nor winter.
Today, you are now my every season.

EP06 The Four Pillars of Fate [사주팔자 (四柱八字)]

Though I wished that your life when you were reborn would be as flowers*
I see now you lived enduring, with no one to depend upon.
My beloved. This is my promise, as it is our fate.
Until your dying day, I am yours. 

*n.b. A path of flowers meaning a happy life.

EP07 The Trap of Saṃsāra [윤회(輪廻)의 덫]

Mint chocolate chip ice cream. The sound of the TV.
The smell of freshly cooked rice.
And the warmth of us leaning against one another.
The everyday warmth made me happy, so much so that it brought tears to my eyes.

EP08 Reincarnation [환생 (還生)]

Every time I think the end has come,
Such as there is no longer any need to save myself,
You appear, like a lie.
My big brother who was my world, and my salvation. You.

EP09 Eodukshini [어둑시니]

Even if this world is full of life,
Without one person, without you, my love,
How could I call this living?
So, this is my hell. 

EP10 Deja Vu [데자뷰]

My love, who is god to all things, do not cry.
Though this be our end,
Now in this moment, solely in this world.

EP11 Chinese Lantern Plant [꽈리]

*n.b. The hanja for Rang’s name is (朗), meaning ‘shining.’

EP12 Tail-catching Game [꼬리잡기놀이]

Within the warmth, I dream.
You and I with graying hair,
Clasping our withered hands tightly and being together until our dying day.
That ordinary dream that can never be. 

EP13 Another Imoogi [또하나의 이무기]

How could I call a life without you a life, my love?
As waves surge when the wind blows, I breathe when you come to me.
Even if dark despair falls over a bright day, let us promise one another.
If we live we live together, if we die we die together. We shall only ever be together. 

EP14 DEAD END 막다른 길 [Dead End]

EP15 A Fate Called ‘You’ [그대라는 운명]

Our victory or defeat, through you, was already decided. 

EP16 Re-writing the Tale of the Nine Tailed [다시쓰는 구미호뎐]

Oh Fate, which down through the distant ages has once again been bound.
Now, together we shall live each moment as though it were an eternity.
You who are my first and my last,
My person, my love.
