Again, these scenes weren’t deleted but some of the dialogue was dropped and the blocking changed considerably (including the gunfight sequence out in the corridor). The above image suggests that they tried out several different versions of Young-ro and Soo-ho’s reunion, but must have decided that the situation was too dire to pause for more than a prolonged look between our leads.

He runs over like a shot and, just as he opens the door, Captain Je and the special forces — who are just now descending from the third floor, supporting their wounded — go to shoot at Young-ro, but in that moment ‘bang, bang, bang!!!’ Soo-ho fires first, [yelling] | |

Soo-ho runs out and drags Ms Oh into the prayer room with them and, in that instant, a bullet fired by one of the special forces guys grazes his arm ... |
