Great Aso (大阿蘇)

The poem ‘Great Aso’ (Ō-Aso) was written by Miyoshi Tatsuji in 1937 but reads as though it were older. Like much of Miyoshi’s poetry, it’s a long form, free verse poem written in a highly literary style that recalls classical Japanese.

Oh Pine, Oh Pine, Oh Verdant Pine (솔아 솔아 푸르른 솔아)

This is the song the student demonstrators are singing in EP01/EP02 when Gang-mu and his team chase Soo-ho through the streets. Interestingly, it appeared in the JTBC raw but not the Disney+ version.

Dongsimcho (同心草)

Dongsimcho (同心草), meaning ‘grass of the same heart,’ derives its lyrics from a Tang Dynasty poem by Xue Tao. It plays in Snowdrop EP04 as Soo-ho thinks back on his parting with Young-ro.
